Summer Camp at Litton Lakes

A fun, active and engaging summer camp where children build confidence, make friends and develop real-world skills.

I wanted to create something more than a typical camp…

an experience where children can grow in confidence, build friendships and feel more independent. Litton Lakes is the perfect location for them to disconnect from the flow of daily life, spend time outdoors and just be kids. Through a mix of sport, outdoor activities and simple life skills, plus guest sessions from local role models, it’s all designed to help children feel part of something and leave with more confidence than when they arrived.

FAQs

  • We will be situated on a large field. We will have a large tent where the children can relax if the weather takes a turn for the worse. Toilets are very close to field too.

  • Children will need to bring a pack lunch and bottle for water. We will also provide some healthy snacks throughout the day

  • We will be putting on a small shuttle bus from Bridport town centre to support parents juggling work and picks ups. More details will be shared closer to the date. There would be a small charge for this.

  • The team will be led by Nick Peasant, founder of The Mindful Digital Collective, who has delivered sessions in schools across Bridport. Additional team members will be present to ensure a minimum ratio of 1 adult to every 8 children. All staff are fully trained, DBS checked, and qualified first aiders will be on site at all times.

  • We know this can feel like a big one.

We keep phones away so children can properly switch off, make friends and enjoy the experience without distractions. But that doesn’t mean they’re cut off.

If your child needs you, we’ll contact you straight away. And if you need them, you can call us directly at any time — we’ll always make sure you’re connected.

  • Supporting children’s confidence and emotional wellbeing is a big part of what we do.

If a child feels overwhelmed, we’ll gently step in — offering one-to-one support, a calm space to reset, and time away from the group if needed. We never rush children back in; instead, we help them feel ready and confident to rejoin when it feels right for them.

It’s all about building resilience in a safe and supportive way.

If needed, we’ll also keep parents informed so you feel fully reassured.

  • Yes — and it’s especially valuable for children who are shy or not naturally sporty.

We combine outdoor activities with creative, low-pressure spaces where children can slow down, create and connect with others. This balance helps children feel safe, included and able to take part in a way that suits them.

Everything is designed to build confidence and help children grow at their own pace.

  • Yes of course, please give Nick a call and he will be more than happy to discuss things with you.

  • We may share some updates via our instagram account talking about how the days are going. But we will be taking pictures each day and building scrap book for them at the end of the week for them to remember.

  • No, the summer camp is run by The Mindful Digital Collective. Litton Lakes have been kind enough to allow us to use the location and facilities.

  • Yes, if they are between 8-12 we will be holding spaces for anyone who is staying and would like to take part. This will come with a discount. The more notice you can give us the better.
